Summer time calls for statement straw hats! This Eugenia Kim ‘Do Not Disturb’ hat is so fun and something really different than any other my straw hats. It also the most expensive headpiece I have ever had. But when I saw it I felt in love with it and bought it immediately. I even didn’t think about price or matching outfit. However, in general it is easier to find an unusual hat to go with a clothing ensemble than vice versa.
Of course, noticeable hats generally work best with very simple outfits. So, If you are wearing a statement hat, then you would not wear a statement dress. I paired it with Brian Atwood wedges and my favorite off the shoulder Topshop romper, that I have owned for 5 years! And I really like to see the dramatic reaction that the hat has brought about. So, the truth is "Sometimes your hair isn't enough." (Philip Treacy)
